The Soul Reaver was never known as the Blood Reaver formally or informally. Janos himself refers to it as the Reaver and always has. Even when the sword was offical called the Soul Reaver by all those who were aware of it, he still called it the Reaver. That and only that was its offical name before it became known as the Soul Reaver.

- The unimbued sword is called the "Blood Reaver" in Soul Reaver 2's data files. Even though it doesn't appear in the script, it's still a semi-"official" term. --LoK-Aevum 19:19, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
