Dimitri[]
Annie[]
Annie is a minor, yet named human (non-player) Peasant character featured in Blood Omen 2.
Profile[]
Kain was able to encounter Annie, when he passed through the Lower City, in "In Darkness We Gather" . Annie and another (unnamed) female Peasant were angrily shouting at a locked house demanding money from the unseen "Ivan", who was supposedly hiding in the house. Both Annie and her associate threatened and cursed Ivan through the closed door, but if Ivan was present, he did not show himself[1].
Notes[]
- Annie's character model isn't unique and she shares a model used for several NPC Peasant females. Even her exact color variant may change in different playthroughs.
- Annie is referred to as "First Woman" in scripts, despite having been named by her associate. [1]
- Ivan's dealings with the two women and Annie's claims that he is "whoring away our money" may suggest that Annie and her associate are prostitutes and Ivan, may therefore be their 'pimp'.
- It is unknown if Ivan was indeed hiding from the women in the locked house as Annie claims, or if he simply wasn't at home at the time.
- Like many of the NPC's in Blood Omen 2, Annie's fate is left entirely to the players discretion.
Duncan[]
Duncan was a minor character seen in Blood Omen 2. He was the games first gate guard and was seen in Chapter 3:The Lower City
Profile[]
Duncan was a gatekeeper in Meridian's Lower City seen in "In Darkness We Gather". He was guarding a gate to the worker's area and only allowed night shift workers through; Kain's attempted dry humour that he was the night shift was unsuccessful at persuading Duncan to let him into the restricted area beyond.[2][3]
Under instruction from Umah, Kain visited the nearby Red Raven Pub and met the Cabal 'contact', the Tapster, who told Kain to tell Duncan he worked for Ducket's Traders.[4] Kain returned to Duncan and told him this information and Duncan opened the gate.[5][6]
Notes[]
- Duncan's character model isn't unique and many of the NPC malePeasant Humans share it. Like some other minor characters, Duncan's appearance can change.
- Duncan's fate is left entirely up to the player as he opens the gate and turns his back on Kain.

The Tapster[]
The Tapster was a minor character in Blood Omen 2. She was the Barkeeper of the Red Raven Pub in the Lower City .
Profile[]
In Chapter 3:Lower City, with Umah occupied investigating the Industrial Quarter, she sent Kain to find Sanctuary in the Lower City, using several Cabal contacts to pass on information regarding Sanctuary's secret location. The first of these contacts was the Tapster of the Red Raven Pub.[7] Upon being questioned by Kain, The Tapster revealed that she was not a member of the Cabal[8] and had merely been given a message by "the night itself"[4] (probably a Vampire using Mist or similarly stealthy Dark Gift). She relayed the message, telling Kain the location of the next Cabal Contact - the News Vendor further down the road. She also gave him the means to pass Duncan's gate (by telling Duncan that he worked for Ducket's Traders ).[4]
Notes[]
- In true Blood Omen style, the Tapster, as a barkeeper is protected from harm by her bar, and does little to react if Kain massacres her customers.
- The Tapster will continue onto a conversation with another (NPC) patron regarding the Sarafan if left alone by Kain[9].
- Deleted dialogue suggests that the meeting with the Tapster originally took place in a stables at the back of the Red Raven.[10]

Serg[]
Serg, sometimes spelled Serge, is a minor, yet named Human Sarafan Guard, featured in Blood Omen 2.
Profile[]
Kain was able to encounter Serg in the Lower City in "In Darkness We Gather", shortly after he had passed through the Ducket's Traders Warehouse and returned to the 'main street' of the Lower City. Serg ran by Kain and conversed with another Sarafan Guard on the other side of a Ward Gate.
Kain could overhear as the two guards discussed the culpability for an attack "the Slums Station",[11] which had apparently knocked out several Ward Gates in the area. When confronted with the possibility that he could be facing a Vampire attack, Serg suggested that it could be "humans working for vampires"[11] and both he and his associate used the opportunity to leave the area to "question"[11] a widow and her three daughters .
Notes[]
- Despite being named by his associate, Serg is referred to in scripts as "Seraphan/Sarafan Guard 1" or "First Sarafan Guard"[11]
- Serg is a rarity in that he is a named minor enemy character, a distinction he shares with the unseen Sarafan Guard Joseph.
- Like many of the conversations involving NPC's and minor enemy characters in the early chapters of Blood Omen 2, Serg's interaction is entirely optional and he can be killed at any time. If left alone to complete the conversation he will retreat beyond the Ward Gate with the other guard.
- Serg's associates suggestion that they "question" and do some "thorough searching"[11] of a widow and her three daughters (though humorously framed) perhaps hints at another uncomfortable side of the Sarafan oppression in Meridian.
- Shortly after his encounter with Serg, Kain would pass by the "Playhouse"( a theater) where a peasant couple will discuss the similarly named Sergio.
Artemus[]
Artemis,[12][13] sometimes spelled Artemus, was a nobleman[14][15] who appeared in Blood Omen 2. He had some sort of unknown business in the Sarafan Keep. He was valuable enough to be escorted by Sarafan Knights.[16]
Profile[]
In House of my Enemy (chapter), Kain was met by a woman in the Sarafan Keep who claimed to work for the Cabal,[17] she refused to open a Ward Gate until Kain had dealt with the nobleman Artemis, who had apparently caused enormous harm to the Cabal.[18] Kain found and killed Artemis and his Sarafan protectors before returning to the woman who opened the ward gate and walked off.
Notes[]
- Artemis' blue and gold cloak and his protection are suggestive of his wealth, backing up the woman claim he is "of some importance",[15] however her comments that Kain should "rip out his cruel heart" and "stop his lying tongue" may suggest a more personal motivation for having Artemis killed.[19]
- The room where Kain kills Artemis and his guard contains a mural of The Sarafan Lord's victory over Kain. It is possible to hear Artemis comment on the work if Kain does not kill him straight away.[20]

Jon[]
Jon, sometimes spelled John, was a minor, yet named Human Industrial Worker NPC, featured in Blood Omen 2.
Profile[]
Jon appeared in Sebastian's Boss Battle in the Main Factory of theIndustrial Quarter at the end of Chapter 6:The Nexus Stone. Jon appeared as a confederate of Sebastian, situated in the 'control room' of the Nexus Stone's chamber and he presumably controlled the steam jets, vortex and level of the dias in the battle.
As Kain first approached the Nexus Stone, Jon was shown to lower the dias and activate the steam jets at the start of the first phase and he presumably had some role in activation of the second phase (though it wasn't shown). At the start of the third phase, Sebastian ordered Jon to "raise the dias"[21] so he could attempt to destroy the Nexus Stone.
Kain was able to jump up to the dias and from this vantage point was able to charm Jon into activating the steam jets, burning Sebastian and forcing him to confront Kain on the small dias platform[22]. When he had defeated Sebastian Kain removed the Nexus Stone from the machinery, causing the much of it to begin to collapse and explode, in the chaos, Jon was blown out of the control room and probably killed.
Notes[]
- Jon does not have a unique character model - he shares that used by the male Industrial Worker NPC's.
- Jon likely perishes shortly after Kain' s battle with Sebastian - he is blown out of the control room he is in by an explosion and appears to collide with a vent at an awkward angle and with some force. Even if that was not fatal, the destruction of the Main Factory probably was.

Turo[]
Turo was a minor Human Carter (non player) character featured briefly in Blood Omen 2.
Profile[]
Kain was able to encounter Turo as he enteredthe Canyons at the beginning of "Wild Places". Turo was apparently leaving Meridian to deliver supplies to the "garrison beyond the abode of the witch".[23] Turo and a Sarafan Knight conversed as he entered the Canyons, confirming his "name and business".[23] Turo was warned about the bridge to the settlement having fallen and he used the opportunity to criticise Sarafan tolls and maintenance efforts. The Knight advised Turo that a "company was being sent out" [23](not to deal with the Smugglers but a "worse danger" in the Canyons) and cautioning Turo to "hold his tongue" regarding the Sarafan, the Knight opened the gates and Turo headed into the Canyons.
Notes[]
- Despite identifying himself to the Knight, Turo is referered to as "Carter" [23] in scripts, a title which can be applied to any of the Merchant NPC's seen in this level (particularly as they seem to use 'cart variations' to move items.); accordingly Turo's character model is that of a Merchant/Carter and it is not unique to Turo.
- Turo has an accompanying 'cart' (an automobile variant), however, (as with all of the Carter NPC's and their carts), he is not shown driving it; Turo simply disappears behind the 'cart' and it becomes mobile.
- Turo mentions that were the bridge present, the Canyons settlement would be regarded as "beyond" the Seer's Cottage;[23] with the bridge fallen, people have to go 'around the outside' of the Canyons and approach from a different way (with the Seer's cottage now after the settlement, garrison and other end of the fallen bridge).
- Unlike many Blood Omen 2NPC's, Turo's fate is uncertain; he enters the Canyons via the main gates (protected by a Sarafan Knight), which Kain will take some time to get passed and by the time Kain progresses, Turo has moved at least passed the collapsed bridge. Kain passes several Carts as he goes through the Canyons (though their NPC's wear different coloured clothing to Turo). Turo may be one of the bodies found when the Lesser Demons attack; though the cart that most resembles his is attacked by Smugglers in the caves (it's carter can be saved.).
