Behind the scenes

The third discovered alpha build of Soul Reaver has several fixes since its January and February counterparts but also some textures issues. Polygons on Raziel´s body have been incorrectly deleted in what seems to be an effort to make his chest and jaw appear at all times instead of just appearing when pressing the soul devour button. However, this causes an issue where the polygons from his face and chest overlap which might have prompted them to change it back as it was in the earlier builds. Many areas have improved texture sets.

Its debug menu can be activated by pressing square and circle or by clicking the left stick.

Turel´s audience chamber now has a gate into the internal hall, but Turel himself is no longer placed in the level.

The Retreat 1, 2 and 3 rooms are still present but there are no changes from the 4th Feb build.

The developers experimented in the brightness of the sky as in many places such as the Abyss and first area of Silenced Cathedral are now much darker.
