"This spell allows me to exploit the petty prejudices of man. Minor grievance would escalate to murderous rage and oh, the sweet terror when the spell wore off and they saw their hands covered with their neighbour's blood."
Kain[src]

Inspire Hate was a spell acquired and used by Kain during the events of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. It was hidden in a basement of one of Coorhagen's houses and it counted as one of the game's many secrets. This spell would lead all of Kain's enemies (excluding bosses) into a frenzy, making them fight among themselves to death or until the spell's influence fades out. Despite being overlooked by his enemies, Kain would still be confronted by getting close to them.

Notes

Though Inspire Hate was only explicitly seen in Blood Omen, Kain was later able to use a similar spell in Legacy of Kain: Defiance when he gains the conflict fragment of the Balance Emblem, which imbues the Blood Reaver with the flame enhancement. The effects of its Reaver Spell are almost identical to Inspire Hate, causing nearby enemies to attack each other for the spell's limited duration.
