The fourth timeline was the fourth and newest course of Nosgoth's history to be explored in the Legacy of Kain series. This timeline was created when Kain introduced a paradox by sparing Raziel at the Sarafan Stronghold during Nosgoth's early history, altering the third timeline and the fate of Raziel. The epilogue of Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, the Legacy of Kain: Defiance comic, and Legacy of Kain: Defiance were set in the fourth timeline.

Profile

Nosgoth's historical continuum was altered a second time in Soul Reaver 2. Following the slaughter of the Circle, Kain prevented Raziel from entering the Soul Reaver, introducing a paradox. This monumental obstruction caused the future to reshuffle itself. The new course of history could be identified as the fourth timeline explored in the Legacy of Kain series.
