The 'Floating Vehicle' was a flying method of transport used in the Hylden City by the Hylden, presumably to ferry cargo across the Hylden City.
In The Living End (chapter), Kain first saw the Floating Vehicle when he entered the 'main square' of the Hylden City. As Kain conversed with two slaves, the vehicle flew by and they indictaed that the vehicle (referred to only as "that") was the only way to reach the Shield Generator as the doors to the building were inactive.[1]
Finding his way through the level, Kain was able to sneak aboard the Floating Vehicle and was transported across the 'main square' to the Shield Generator.
Notes
- The name 'Floating Vehicle' is conjecture as the vehicle is unnamed; it is only referred to as "that"[1] in-game and even Prima's Official Blood Omen 2 Guide only calls it a "container".[2]
- The Vehicle shows the advanced technology the Hylden have brought to Nosgoth. Arguably the humans are shown to have developed (through Hylden/Sarafan influence) several industrial vehicles which fulfill similar puropses; notably Kain uses several Gondolas whilst in Meridian.
